Generative teaching is the idea of the new curriculum reform. It is not only helpful toinformation technology classroom to improve the teaching effect but also helpful to teachers toimprove their teaching level with using the generative teaching. Take the information technologyclassroom of the junior middle school as an example the paper researched what the roles theteachers should play in generative teaching and gave the ways to achieve these roles using themethod of literature review the method of questionnaire the method of interview and the methodof classroom observation. That could offer the support to generative teaching.The paper is divided into four parts.Part one is theoretical research. Summarize the main content of the generative teaching andthe weak link in the study of domestic and foreign country research through searching a largenumber of the study of domestic and foreign country. And that formed the study idea that theauthor could study generative teaching in the view of teachers’ role. According to differentscholars who devoted study generative teaching and combined with the characteristics ofinformation technology itself the author has defined the concept of information technologygenerative teaching and teachers’ role. Then the author has pointed out two aspects of inevitableperformance in information technology generative teaching: generation with advance design andgeneration without advance design. And put forward the teachers’ characteristics in informationtechnology generative teaching.Part two is the investigation for the information technology classroom generative teaching.The author summed up problems in current information technology generative teaching afterdistributing questionnaires to some information technology teachers in junior middle schools inLiaoning Province. In order to make up shortcoming of questionnaire the author drew up theoutline of interview and interviewed four information technology teachers in two junior middleschools in Shenyang. Then more comprehensive reality basis has been achieved.Part three is the classroom observation of information technology classroom generativeteaching. In order to find out the way to solve the problems in current information technologyclassroom generative teaching the author has been in real information technology classroom andrecorded eight lessens. It was effective generation cases and ineffective generation cases that hadbeen analyzed in the view of teachers’ role. That proved the practice basis to putting forward theroles of teachers. Part four is the conclusion. Four roles the teacher should play in information technologygenerative classroom have been put forward through the research of this paper: the guide ofstudents who study in information technology classroom, the equal dialogist to students ininformation technology classroom, the capture of effective generation resources in informationtechnology classroom, the comprehensive predisposition of information technology classroom;And the author has put forward four ways the teacher how to get the role: Hardly improve theleading ability of information technology, make the distance between the teacher and studentsclosely, timely grasp the generative chances in information technology, fully understand thefunction of preset in information technology.Because of the subjective and objective condition there is some shortcoming in this paper.That needs research deeply. Welcome others to go on studying.
