With the promotion of the new curriculum reform, new teaching ideas has generated, the focus and methods of teaching objectives, teaching materials, teaching has changed. Mathematics is an important part of mathematics education reform. From2003to2007,"high school mathematics curriculum standards (experimental)" clearly states that one of the basic concepts of high school mathematics teaching is to "develop students’awareness of applied mathematics". Hunan formally started using the new curriculum materials, teachers from the realized actions have made the appropriate changes, then in the course of nearly a decade of reform, how to treat the application of mathematics teachers are teaching? How did they work with their application of mathematics teaching? After promotion to strengthen the application of mathematics, how about the student’s application of mathematics awareness and ability exactly? The current application of mathematics teaching and what should be improved and promoted? They are worth to study.In this article, through reference in the international and the research situation of our country’s mathematics application, summarizes the mathematical modeling and mathematical understanding belief related theoretical basis which is support the teaching of mathematical applications, and sorting out the main problems needed to study and solve, including teachers’teaching concept and application present situation, the students’mathematics learning situation. And set out to research the teacher’s mathematics application teaching, student’s mathematics application consciousness and ability training. Found in the teaching of mathematics application, teachers sometimes "have ideas, without action, attaches great importance to test, but despise quality", students still exist weak consciousness of mathematics application, application ability is not strong. This paper also analyzes the various reasons, and in combination with research and education practice, put forward the mathematics application teaching advices, including teaching principals, teachers, self-demanding, mathematics awareness training, Mathematics Application Ability four proposed principles of mutual cooperation, such as teaching, correct view Mathematics teacher self-teaching requirements, the proposed application of conscious students start from textbooks, classroom examples, interest groups, and mathematical modeling, mathematical word problems combine teaching mathematics proficiency training recommendations. At last, combined with the proposed design of teaching, the effect of the implementation of classroom tests were analyzed according to the student’s actual performance.Training high school math awareness and ability to apply is a long term creative activity. It needs to accumulate more teaching material, ideas and methods in practice In the future I will continue to education teaching work of exploration and discovery, to find the ways of both test and application education, combining the concept of curriculum reform and teaching.
