Teacher-student relationship is the most basic and important interpersonal relationship in educational and teaching activities, it plays a great important role in educational and teaching practice effect as well as the physical and psychological development of students. The relationship has always been the focus of educational research. As part of the higher education, independent college should be a manifestation of the essence and harmony in college of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the relationship between teachers and students who are regarded as the core role in independent college should also be correspondent to the the theme of this time which is the construction of a harmonious socialist society, moreover, this kind of relationship should present the characteristics of equality,democracy and cooperation. Therefore, the research on harmonious teacher-student relationship in independent college can also be a meaningful subject both theoretically and practically.This paper mainly discuss around the subject on the manifestations,Causes and countermeasures to the phenomenon of disharmonious teacher-student relationship in independent college, the main content consists of four parts.The first part reveals the meaning of the construction of harmonious teacher-student relationship in independent college. The second part discusses the manifestation of the disharmonious teacher-student relationship in independent college, namely the status quo such as the reduction of mutual trust between teachers and students, the indifference and secularization as well as utilitarianism in teacher-student relationship, the lacking of communication among teachers and students, the increasing mass antagonism and complaints between teachers and students, and so on.The third part analyzes the causes of disharmonious teacher-student relationship in independent college from the aspects such as social factors, shool factors and factors between teachers and students.The fourth part which is the main body of this paper discusses the countermeasures to the construction of a harmonious teacher-student relationship in independent college, that is the countermeasures and ways to the harmony of teacher-student relationship from the angle of students, teachers and shool.
