Relationship between teachers and students is the fundmental relationship among peoples. However, influenced by the thinking of intellectuality and epistemology for a long time, it is thought of as the relationship in which a teacher initiates students into knowledge, even as the writing-out relationship. The requirement for their personalities hasn't been attached importance to. On the contrary, the requirement is replaced by score and examination. Therefore, we should broaden a new thinking to study the relationship and reveal its essence. This is necessary to understand the role of teacher and the function of education.Based on the analysis of literature, personal interview and collectivity interview and participant observation , viewing the developmental process of relationship between teachers and students, the thesis discover that the problem which lies in the essence of relationship between teachers and students can't be understood clearly, and which results from the different cognitional basis of the relationship between teachers and students. The essence of relationship between teachers and students is the relationship among peoples. By the means of understanding person's existence, reviewing its development, the thesis expatiates the relationship between teachers and students on the condition of new existence and put forward that the relationship should be commensal relationship between teachers and students and the structure of it should be included internal structure-relationship among peoples and external structure-relationship between learning and teaching, mental relationship and ethic relationship. At the same time, the thesisrethink the role and the function of teacher and point out that the teacher in the commensal relationship between teachers and students should become the creator of educational environment, the teacher of breaking authority and person who care for students' mentality. Therefore, the thesis offers all the staff, primary school and middle school teachers with new thought, to effectively change the bad relationship between teachers and students. Consequently, promote the educational reform to stimulate the quality-education.The significance of the study is that: firstly, enrich and perfect the theories about teacher-student relationship and teachers; secondly, make all the staff know the importance and the essence of relationship between teachers and students, so that the teacher-student relationship can be well deal with. Stimulate the educational reform by making the relationship play its due role.
