As a new form of running school, independent colleges came into being withhigher education reform. After constant exploring and attempt, the achievements ofindependent colleges can be easily witnessed. However, in these two years, with thedecrease of number of students, the admissions of independent colleges have beeninfluenced and they are facing great pressure and severe challenges. Under suchcircumstances, the stability of teaching staff becomes the most strategic and urgentproblem. But the reality is that the loss of teachers is too frequent, which undoubtedlywill bring a great loss to human capital. If this situation keeps going on, the efficiencyof scientific research and teaching will be brought down, and the course constructionof independent colleges will be affected. Therefore, under the challenges of currenteconomy and social transformation, the independent colleges have to make itsteaching staff stable and raise the level of teacher human resource management toreduce the loss of teachers.This thesis aims at making an empirical research to S independent college basedon theories of employee turnover and human resource management. First of all, theauthor will define teachers and the loss of teachers of independent colleges, and havea research on the characteristics and harms of teacher losing. Then, it will analyze theexternal and internal factors that lead to teacher losing of S independent college, andthe creative point of this part lies in the combination of survey results of teachersatisfaction and recruitment, training, evaluation, salary and welfare in the process ofhuman resource management. Finally, the author will put forward correspondingsolutions on the basis of theories of staff incentive.
