Fundamental education (FE) refers to the education before middle school (including middle school). In narrow sense FE refers to the9years’ compulsory education, while in broad sense it includes family education (simplified as tutor) and necessary education for social and life knowledge. FE in the article refers to the first one. Since the reformation and open to us, there are great achievements in our country’s FE. Early in middle80’s, the evaluation system of FE in China had started the reformation. In order to promote the quality education, the evaluation system of students in FE has improved, but the current evaluation system for comprehensive understanding of students still exist significant gap. The problems lie in: test scores for the unified evaluation method, narrowized evaluation perspective for knowledge just from books, the appraisal just dependent on teacher’s evaluation, the abnormality of the main evaluation function for identification. These problems excessively emphasize on the selection function of evaluation, while ignore the educational function for promoting all-round development of students. China has not developed a concrete evaluation system for FE, it also severely restricts the deeply promotion of quality education in our country and affects the healthy development of adolescents. In order to implement the "decision of the State Council on the foundamental education reform and development" and the substantial completion of good quality’s education, it’s urgent for the FE’s reformation. We should change the whole social education’s idea, based on the correct concept of education, students, treat students with the eyes of development, make the comprehensive development of students and let every life has different splendidness!...
