Since the curriculum reform, high school history teaching has made brilliantachievement. The teaching method and teaching model have improved a lot to some extent,however, many problems arise accordingly with the constant update and progress of thehistory teaching. This paper takes the history teaching study of Jinzhou senior high schools asthe object based on the inquiry learning model and effective teaching principles. In this paper,the investigation is launched on the current situation of history teaching. The researchmethods in this paper concern questionnaire method and interview method. Universal anddirective typical questions are filtered from the research of questionnaires and interviews andanalyzed. Meanwhile, countermeasures are put forward based on those questions.The whole text is divided into three parts. The first part mainly introduces the researchobject and summarizes the survey results. The second part refines problems existing in thehistory teaching of senior high school in Jinzhou city. They are as follows. The first one isteachers’ lack of enthusiasm, and innovation; The second one is parts of teachers whoseteaching and scientific research ability are insufficient; The third one is that the instillingteaching model makes students study passively; The last one is weak cohesion problems abouthistory teaching from the high school to the senior high school. The third part of this paperputs forward countermeasures according to those problems mentioned in the second part. Thefirst countermeasure is that the teachers should appreciate deeply practical significance of thehistory teaching and they can be exposed to more academic training. The second one is thatthe teachers should be encouraged to explore innovation. The second one is that the teachingmanagement system and the learning mode of students should be changed. The last one is thatthe teachers should construct knowledge and pay attention to cultivate the students’ ability.
