National scientific literacy is the foundation of a nation’s sustainable development, is thekey to a country prosper, and directly affects the state science and technology development,therefore, conform to the requirements of The Times, improve the national scientific literacyis the main goal of countries in science education. The curriculum reform’s main goal is toimprove the students’ scientific literacy, through chemical course to cultivate the students’scientific literacy, chemistry teachers should have a higher level of scientific literacy in thefirst place. Domestic research on chemical scientific literacy teachers in rural areas, this studywill Xu Shui rural high school chemistry teachers’ current situation of scientific literacyresearch and puts forward some corresponding SuggestionsThis research mainly went through three steps, first of all, from the teachers’ scientificliteracy research status at home and abroad and all kinds of literature about this paper, theconcept of the teachers’ scientific literacy, divides into the teachers’ scientific literacy,scientific knowledge, scientific method and process of scientific attitude in three aspects,compiled on the basis of high school chemistry teachers’ scientific literacy surveyquestionnaire; And then recover the questionnaire for data processing and analysis, researchand discussion on the present situation of high school chemistry teachers’ scientific literacy;Finally, by the results of the study on situation of high school chemistry teachers’ scientificliteracy in rural areas are summarized and puts forward some Suggestions according to thesituation of teachers’ scientific literacy.Through the study, the following conclusions: Xu Shui rural high school chemistryteachers’ scientific literacy in gender, age, educational background, teaching age, professionaltitles in five aspects showed no significant difference. Xu Shui rural high school chemistryteachers’ scientific literacy is better, but individual aspect still has shortcomings.1, in theaspect of scientific knowledge, to show the teachers’ knowledge structure is not perfect, thesubject and textbook knowledge teachers master the situation is good, but the understandingof mathematics knowledge, and interdisciplinary knowledge master the situation. In thescientific process and method of2, reflect part of high school chemistry teacher attaches greatimportance to the classroom teaching of knowledge, and look down on students’ inquirylearning. Part3, in the aspect of scientific attitude reflects the high school chemistry teachersof the new curriculum idea understanding does not reach the designated position and notenough emphasis on education of scientific research. In view of the research conclusion, put forward the corresponding Suggestions: first,the teacher to start from oneself, changing the education teaching idea, form the habit oflifelong learning. The second hope that the department of education to teacher training,especially the teacher’s in-service training; The last hope to change the traditional pattern ofeducation in normal colleges, training to adapt to quality education requirements of the newteacher.
