Adolescent period is a transition from individual psychological rapidly maturingand immature. It is prone to loneliness, irritability, stubborn, self-esteem, arrogant,reckless, jealousy and some unhealthy tendencies. Student growth stage is theparticular period of confusion and facing academic, employment and otherpsychological stress and interpersonal relationships, love and other growing pains andconfusion. It is easy to have role of dislocate, causing psychological problems. Thepurpose of education is to educate people, which are shaping the personality. Solvingthe psychological problems of college students is a top priority without delay.This paper summarizes the research status at home and abroad. It analyzesCollege Physical Education and mental health concepts and relationships, usingteaching experiments, literature, questionnaire investigation, mathematical statisticsand other research methods for experimental research and analysis.Experimental results show that the influence of four different PE on MentalHealth scores and dimension is different. Physical effects of different projects on themale and female college students’ psychological health scores and dimensions aredifferent. Each dimension is affected by the different projects in the anxietydimension, basketball classes with boys is better than swimming elective course; Inthe somatization dimension, taijiquan classes are better than swimming lessons; Ininterpersonal sensitivity dimensions, swimming lessons are better than taijiquanclasses; Badminton Elective Courses in other dimensions are better than swimminglessons with boys; In somatization dimension and other dimensions, taijiquan classeswith boys are better than swimming lessons; In obsessive-compulsive symptoms andinterpersonal sensitivity dimensions, badminton elective classes with boys are betterthan taijiquan classes; In anxiety, psychosis and depression three dimensions,swimming lessons with girls are better than basketball elective classes; In terror,depression, obsessive-compulsive symptoms dimensions, swimming lessons withgirls are better than badminton lessons. Based on the above: college Sports teaching can greatly improve mental healthof college students; different projects to improve the physical education curriculumfor mental health of college students have different effects,which can guide thecollege physical education projects targeted for selection to achieve an overallimprovement in mental health.
