A Research On Utilitarianism Influence And Education Countermeasures On The Values Of Contemporary College Students

Contemporary college students are the replacement for our socialist modernization, thedevelopment of college students’ values not only relate on the personal growth about them,more relationship with the future of China’s socialist modernization. Cultivation the correctvalues of contemporary college students are shared mission of society, colleges, families andcollege students, the realization of it is about the efficient work of moral education incolleges and universities, is about the prosperity of socialist culture, concerning about thegreat rejuvenation of the Chinese nation the realization of the "China dream". Along with thefurther development of China’s reform and opening up, utilitarianism is getting more andmore thorough popular feeling, its development bring the negative effect to our society isbecoming more and more prominent, its development bring prominent effect on the growth ofcollege students themselves, the development of the ideological and moral education incolleges and universities, and even the future socialist construction will be varying degrees ofimpact. Therefore, how to resist the negative influence of utilitarianism values for collegestudents, and explore sublation utilitarian education countermeasures became an importantproblem about the present college students’ values education which is faced with. This articlefrom the content about utilitarianism, expounds the connotation of utilitarianism, the relateddevelopment course and characteristics of this special group selection of contemporarycollege students, the research object is the values of contemporary college students,emphatically analyzes the negative influence of utilitarianism values of contemporary collegestudents and its influence ways, and accordingly put forward education countermeasure to thesublation of utilitarianism, training college students to establish correct values.In this paper, besides introduction and conclusion, the text consists of three parts.The first part is the theory of the relevant concepts. This part focus on the connotation ofutility and utilitarianism, do the relevant interpretation about utilitarianism characteristics, thispaper expounds the enlightenment and development course of western utilitarianism, and thewestern utilitarianism dialectical and historical evaluation, including the analysis of historicalprogress and historical limitations, expounds the development course of the utilitarianism andpractical thinking, for after laid a solid theoretical foundation for the further study of the paper.The second part is about the negative influence and influence way of utilitarianismvalues about contemporary college students. In this part, firstly, analyzes the particularity ofthe group values of contemporary college students and utilitarianism of certain positiveimpact on the values of contemporary college students, and then focuses on from four aspectsto analyze the negative influence of utilitarianism values about contemporary college students,including the utilitarian values of contemporary college students political indifference,utilitarianism cause of contemporary college students’ moral values confusion, utilitarianismcaused the contemporary college students’ vocational values distorted, utilitarianism causedby contemporary college students learning value, etc. Then utilitarianism is discussed fromfour aspects of contemporary college students’ values negative effects, including socialutilitarianism environment hinder college students values education, utilitarian culturerestricts the students’ values, family atmosphere of utilitarianism bound values form forcollege students, college students utilitarian thinking forming limit its own values. This part is the focus of this paper.The third part is about the sublation of utilitarianism, the education countermeasuresabout cultivation of college students’ correct values. This part clear the negative influence ofutilitarianism values about contemporary college students and its influence ways, combinedwith today’s social reality and the era background, from the society, university, family andcollege students’ personal four angles respectively study the weakening utilitarianism negativeeffects on college students’ values education countermeasures, including the state and society,through improving the socialist market economy, creating a fair and democratic politicalenvironment, to carry forward the socialist core values, improve the employment securitysystem to downplay the social utilitarianism breath; Matters of colleges and universitiesthrough the innovation of ideological and political education form to improve teachers’ quality,cultivating positive campus culture to weaken the campus atmosphere of utilitarianism;Family should strive to build a good family education environment, and parents governs incorruptibly, use the scientific education method to change family utilitarian tendency;College students’ personal aspects, have to be self-educate actively, consciously into practiceto exercise ability and comprehensive dialectical view of utilitarianism, to change theutilitarianism thinking.
