Mathematics textbooks is the materialized carrier of mathematics curriculum, it has irreplaceable functions in mathematics curriculum and teaching, as the important medium of teaching and learning. With the deepening of New Curriculum Reform, diversification and characteristic become the basic values and practical trend of national policy of curriculum and textbooks, it is also the realistic appeal of teaching and learning for teachers and students from different areas and backgrounds. At present, there are many exploration in characteristic in the mathematics textbooks of primary schools of different versions at different extends, the characteristic of compilation of mathematics textbooks has appeared initially. However, the complication level is still low, even the phenomenon of characteristic of convergence was appeared. Meanwhile, there are rare researches on compilation of textbooks, the theoretical argumentation and practical promotion for the characteristic compilation of primary school mathematics textbooks is very scarce, the implement effect of textbook characteristics should be checked, the research on the approach of improving the characteristics of mathematics textbooks of primary schools should be furthered. On recent years, there are many valuable explorations and attempts for characteristic in Xishi edition mathematics textbooks of primary schools, especially in"Classroom activity Therefore, the research on compilation of "Classroom Activity "can provide significant enlightenments and references to characteristic compilation of mathematics textbooks of primary schools.Therefore, I choose the "classroom activity"as research object. which is the type of textbooks characteristics, among the first authorized national textbooks of primary schools, published by Southwest University Press, and compiled by professor Naiqing Song. I devoted to ascertain the property of "classroom activity", explore its characteristics. demonstrate its effects, and proposed the suggestions to improve it. The research would further and develop the characteristics of textbooks, and contribute to promote the development of textbooks characterization.I did the research by content analysis to code and quantify the five aspects:guiding approaches, situational types, cognitive requirements, number of answers, type of answers. Among them, cognitive requirements, number of answers, type of answers will reflect the Exploration degree of text contents. Also checking the effect of "classroom activity" and collecting suggestions on "classroom activity" were conducted through questionnaires survey, interview and classroom observation in the research.The following conclusions were gotten from the research:1."Classroom activity" is the rebuilding of general classroom practice. Comparing with domestic textbooks,"Classroom activity" emphasizes on stimulating students’ enthusiasm and initiative in learning mathematics, and cultivating students’ communication skills, teamwork ability and practical abilities, through playing games, conversational exchange, hands-on activities. Comparing with overseas textbooks,"Classroom activity" is more stable, more regular, more systematic, and has greater teaching effects."Classroom activity" is transcending and reconstruction of general classroom practice.2."Classroom activity" presents its compiling characteristics of activity. Comparing with "have a try" in the mathematics textbooks of primary published by People Education Press (PEP), the proportion of games, conversational exchange, hands-on activities in "Classroom activity" are higher (75.7%to32.1%), and the proportion of Written exercises is lower, which fully shows its activity.3. In context material selecting,"Classroom activity" mainly focuses on mathematical context and life-context, but rarely focuses on contexts of other disciplines.4."Classroom activity" is relatively strong in exploratory. The high cognitive required items in "classroom activity"(48%) is higher than in "have a try"(37%); For Mathematical items, it is9%in "classroom activity", and5%in "have a try". For questions with only one question, it is62%in "classroom activity", lower than84%in "have a try"; For questions with more than one answer, it is38%in "classroom activity", higher than16%in "have a try". The items which require to propose questions is approximately equivalent in the two kinds of columns, which account for3%and4%. For the items which requires to explain the answers and processes of answers, it is10%in "classroom activity", higher than5%in "have a try".5. The compilation of "classroom activity" is approved by teachers."Classroom activity" is beneficial to students’ emotional, attitude and values;"Classroom activity" promote students to master and comprehend knowledge;"Classroom activity" promote students to form math skills;"Classroom activity" is beneficial to teaching. The suggestions on improvement of "classroom activity" are as following:1. Overcome the repeat. Some items in "classroom activity" are repeated, in other words, the contents in some sections are similar to its adjacent ones, it results in the reduction of effects of "classroom activity".2. Avoid the tendency that active only for activity,"activities" is the main characteristics of "classroom activity" in Xishi edition mathematics textbooks of primary schools, that is to say, textbook editors pursue the reduction of paper and pencil exercises, and pursue game activities, conversational exchange activities, operant activities. It leads to the tendency that active only for activity in some items.3. Appropriately increase the amount of material of other disciplines. At present, there are six other disciplines’contexts, including two geographical contexts, one artistic context, two chemical contexts and one technological context. They are weak both in amount and context, and should be strengthened in future textbooks compilation.4. Enhance the manipulability of "Classroom Activity" further. Since "classroom activity" is required to be finished at classroom, its compilation should focus on manipulability, in other words, it should be ensured to be able to be finished at classroom. Meanwhile, we should avoid the case of low feasibi lity which is led by being difficult at preparing equipment needed for "classroom activity".5. Controlling the amount of "Classroom Activity" to2-3.2-3"Classroom Activity" coordinate with the amount of Examples, which benefit for consolidating the new knowledge, expanding the application, accomplishing the teaching task;2-3items in class time is more reasonable, convenient for students to participate fully, also won’t increase the burden of students.6."Classroom" the difficulty of preparation should be differentiated with example of the difficulty, reflect the level of cohesion, good examples and "activities", to avoid the "convergence of classroom activities" and an example on the content, form, difficulty.
