Since the20th century, with the advent of such movements as child-centrism, humanism, etc. and the development of educational research, people have been awakening their consciousness constantly with a deeper understanding of children’s development. In order to conform to a higher demand made by the society of meeting children’s needs and improving their development of personality, the writer makes an attempt to expound more upon this issue. This thesis will try to listen to children’s voices, make an in-depth interpretation of children’s inner world to probe into the needs of children with an approach of a case study of reflecting children’s life properties, recording children’s lives, expressing children’s emotional requirements writing the text for the media,The thesis is composed of five chapters.The first chapter centers on question raising, literature reviewing and significance of research.The second chapter elucidates the design and process of the study with a general introduction of the definition of some key concepts, research methods, the analysis perspective, the study site entry, content focus, data collection and processing and so on.The third chapter analyzes and describes the reasons why the child loves writing, through which the writer makes a point of the children’s gratification of inner needs through writing.The fourth chapter focuses on the child’s writing content and related interview of the study. In this part, the writer expounds upon what children need from three perspectives of man-to-man, man-to-nature and man-to-self relations to make children’s needs more life-like with wider dimensions. In the process of social intercourse, children desperately crave for the love and care from their parents and teachers. Therefore, bountiful love from family and school education is more conductive to their growth. Children are the son of nature. They have the needs to experience and explore the mystery of nature while the nature in return is more than willing to provide whatever they need for the development of their body and individuality with its boundless bosom. Children also have the needs to bring their energy and potential into full play in life. So let us give great liberty to children so that they could experience greater happiness in the process of the cultivation of the sense of responsibility and accomplishment.The fifth chapter is conclusions and reflection. As we all know, needs are inextricably entwined with human activities. Writing, as one of the greatest activities of expressing their unique life experiences, contains abundant needs of children. It is because of writing’s special function of meeting her demand for freedom and imagination that Z loves writing fervently. By dint of recording children’s writing scripts, the hierarchy of needs between children and other people, nature and children themselves could be revealed in a clearer manner.
