Study Of High School Students Using Effort Management Strategies In Chemistry Learning

Effort management strategies are important parts of learning strategies. Students’ wellself-effort management will contribute to their effective learning.This paper studies theapplication of efforts management strategies in high school chemistry teaching. Relatedconcepts of effort management strategies, contents of effort management strategies andtheoretical basis of effort management strategies were reviewed in this paper. Researchersused self-made test to investigate more than one thousand senior school students insouthern region of Jiangsu province, in order to find out current situation of high schoolstudents using effort management strategies in chemistry learning. According to the resultsof questionnaires, researchers proposed several ways to improve levels of students’ effortmanagement strategies. Based on one class in southern Jiangsu which are research objects,the researchers carried out the practice research of effort management strategies usingchemistry teaching.Conclusions are as follows:Via the investigations of high school students’ levels of using effort managementstrategies, researches found out that most students possessed the consciousness ofself-effort, and students can well use emotion control strategy in chemistry learning withsome willpower to keep learning. However, in the procedure of processing information,the use of methods and self-reinforcing strategies are not good enough.It is helpful to improve students’ levels of using effort management strategies ifteachers penetrate effort management strategy knowledge in chemistry teaching.Students ascertained learning goals according to their needs, and used self-regulationto maintain motivation and interest in the learning. To learn how to attribute correctly andhow to assess themselves are helpful to self-effort management.
