As a form of industry-university-research cooperation innovation,universityindustry cooperation has attracted extensive attention from all walks of life in recent years,its cooperative innovation mode accelerates the process of building an innovative country in China.As the subject of university-industry cooperation and scientific and technological innovation,universities have a core position in both the national innovation system and the regional innovation system.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the influence of university-industry cooperation on patent output of universities.By sorting and analyzing the literature,this article finds the deficiencies of the existing research,and thus determines the research content of this article.This paper studies the influence of university-industry cooperation on patent output of colleges and universities,and starts from two levels of macro organization(universities)and micro individuals(researchers).On this basis,it introduces regulating variables into the two levels respectively to study the influence mechanism.First,the concepts of schoolenterprise cooperation,university patent output,and social capital are defined.At the same time,the relevant theories of university-industry cooperation theory,including the national innovation system theory and the university's social service function ideas,open innovation theory,resource dependence theory,and social capital,are sorted out,which provides a theoretical basis for the study of this article.Secondly,the influence of university-industry cooperation on the patent output of universities at the macro organizational level is analyzed and discussed by using the dynamic panel data,and the regulating effect of scientific research strength and university scale,the conclusion is that university-industry cooperation has a U-shaped impact on university patent output,and the relationship between scientific research strength and university scale can be positively adjusted.Finally,at the micro-individual level,the difference in disciplinary background is considered,and the negative binomial regression model is used to study the influence of university-industry cooperation on the patent output of all researchers and engineering researchers and the regulating effect of social capital,the conclusion is that the university-industry cooperation has a U-shaped impact on the patent output of all scientific researchers,and has a significant positive effect on the patent output of scientific researchers in engineering disciplines,and social capital has a positive regulatory effect.
