Role play materials are the generic terms of the toys and things of young children who in the role play section on the floorboard. They also known as toys or toy materials. Game material is the material basis for the children’s game, it can inspire the game motivation, the conception of children and enrich children’s game plot and actions.This study selected five full-time kindergarten in Guilin (four public park and a private garden) to research, and the observation subject is the role play area of middle class. This study used documentary method, observation method, interview method to observe the equipments in each children’s game area and the process of the children to use these materials for games; and from the pictures, plane graph and summary sheet to record observations. We observed15game material areas and53children in12classes.The research of the situation of material with game, this study classified the game materials in the game area according to the strong structural materials and the weak structural game materials, the resource materials and the instrumental game material. And choose four role play areas as the typical cases of the four kinds of game materials to observe children’s role in the situation when they use these materials. The research results show that the following problems between the equipped with game materials and using:the game materials focus on the role of behavior implement, the role of children is relatively single. The proportion of the weak structural material and the strong structural materials is inappropriate, which leads to the children’s characters is relatively single. The proportion of the resource material and the instrumental game material is inappropriate, the language exchange of children is limited. The settings of the time frame for games is inappropriate, children can use the materials inadequate because the game time is short. The problems may be due to the following reasons:one is the teachers’attention and understanding of regional activity degree is not enough; second, teachers not delve into the function of each role play materials; Three is teachers’ lack of observation and record of the children’s game.Based on the observation and analysis of the problems and causes of the kindergarten students’present situation, the equipped with role play materials and using, researchers put forward the following suggestions:first, as the regional activity a part of children’s day life, form between region and region, and close link between the regional activity and the collective teaching activities, from this perspective to equipped with the role play materials; second, teachers understand the characteristics of the different levels of the game materials, analyze the game materials from the perspective of the classification of different materials and combined them with young children’s ages. Means classified the materials with the role to play game materials. Finally, the feedback of the game materials equipment of children is from the use of the materials with the game, in order to promote the development of young children, teachers need to observe and summarize the different game activities of children to make proper adjustment of the game. So we should equipped the game materials with babies usage of the role play materials.
