Guidance Cases combine teaching notes, students’s lecture notes&practice cases and general assessment in one, deriving from the idea of how to make teaching efficient. They include guidance, learning, practice, examination and assessment. Although thinking about both teaching and intake at the same time, they put more weight on increasing intake. Reflecting the idea of Project New Classes, Guidance Cases aim for the students-oriented and learning-oriented teaching by improving the students’self-teaching ability and helping them develop good learning habits. Teachers should give all support and appropriate guidance during teaching practices.Upholding the human-oriented spirit, our school, a provincial model school, tries to realize the perspective refering "for all students, for students’all, all for students". Since Project New Classes was started through Guangxi in2012, with teachers1efforts and students’ cooperation our school has been exploring on using Guidance Cases to make teaching efficient. Based on the theories about using Guidance Cases for teaching, this paper showcases how to design and manufacture Guidance Cases, which will refer to other schools’ design, utility and successful practical teaching experience. Especially taking into consideration the teaching cases of our school, I will explain the design through these phases:investigation, preparation, making targets, composing content, designing cases, implementation, and result assessment.This paper gropes on using Guidance Cases for high school, integrating references, practice, cases and experience. The significance is to make teaching in high school efficient, to encourage students to think, research and discover, to embody the students-oriented idea. One way our school widens the field of teaching by using Guidance Cases, while some problems have been found on the other way, about which I will give some advises. |
