Information technology is an important driving force of the current globaleconomic and social development, and it plays a pivotal role in promoting themodernization of our country’s education. Information technology education is one ofthe significant features of the education of information era, and we should payemphasis on the revolutionary impact of basic education that aroused by informationtechnology education. In this paper, information technology education in primary andsecondary schools in Fushun City is the object of the research. Using questionnairesand interviews with two research methods to investigate the status of informationtechnology education in primary and secondary schools in Fushun City, including:infrastructure and teaching resources, teachers, curriculum and integration, disciplinaryevaluation. Then, based on the theories and policies, elaborate Fushun City Schools ITmanagement problems of education, in-depth analysis of the causes of problems, andfinally put forward a comprehensive information technology education in primary andsecondary schools in management strategies in Fushun City, including: changes in ITeducation concept, acceleration of information technology infrastructure and theconstruction of educational teaching resources, enhancement of teachers’ IT skills andthe quality of education personnel, reinforcement of technology and curriculumintegration, building of IT curriculum evaluation system to improve studentinformation literacy in Fushun City.
