With nearly20years of the development, our information technology (IT) education of primary and secondary has become an irreplaceable means of modern education technology in China’s education arena. Teacher is the main character of the arena. Therefore, strengthening the training and research of IT teachers in primary and secondary is a critical issue in the current IT education, is urgent needing for teacher own development in the environment of educational information, is the important condition to realize the development of curriculum and the promotion of subject, is the main way to realize the educational information.At present, Dongsheng District, Ordos City has forty-one primary and secondary schools, the hardware investment of IT education is relatively large, the configuration complete, the grade is relatively high, the curriculum is in line with national standards, that can meet the need of IT education in primary and secondary schools. However, the reality tells us, the quality of IT education in Dongsheng District is not high, the process of education information is slow, and it cannot match the hardware construction. Based on this, through questionnaires, interviews and other methods, the author further studied the problems of IT teacher training in the primary and secondary schools, it founds that the main problems are the training purpose is not clear, the effect is not obvious; the training content is narrow and single, the theory and practice are out of touch; the training places is few, that cannot meet the work requirement; the training is lack of systematic and persistence, cannot timely serve teaching, the training mode is inflexible, the evaluation system is not perfect etc.. In addition, we also carried out effectively analysis to the main reason that influence the effective implementation of training, there are many problems, the main problem is less investment in training, leadership inadequate attention; lack of overall planning, the evaluation system is not perfect etc.. These problems constitute a bottleneck to the development of the modern education technology in the local area. Based on the depth investigation, the author puts forward the strategies to solve the problem:the first is increasing the degree,of importance and the investment of the training; the second is clearing the purpose of training, creating a training atmosphere for IT teacher, broaden the scope of training, increase training times, multi-lasting and effective way to conduct training; the third is continuously innovate training forms, let them really benefit from training; the fourth is further improving the training evaluation system, look for policy and institutional guarantee.Hoping that through this study, it will provide effective help and guidance for the primary and secondary IT education development and the information technology teacher training of Dongsheng District, Ordos City in the future.
