| Mental imagery training is one of the most widely used training methods in sport.After the1980s, imagery training began to be applied to physical education, and actionfocused on more complex projects. Research on psychological training and teachingrelationship are a little late, it is still in the exploratory stage, but with the developmentof physical education it implies a broader outlook.Imagery Training is a positive psychological training methods, it fully aware of thedynamic role of representation for skills formation,it plays a dominant role in mentalfunction and regulation of skills, thus promoting the formation of an effective trainingmethod of skills. In addition, imagery training in physical education no specialrequirements, regardless of time, space, equipment limitations, to facilitate the effectiveoperation. Advantages draw imagery training, and to apply it to teaching tennistechnique, the existing traditional teaching model for reform, not only to improve thequality of teaching, but also to accelerate the progress of teaching.This study selected Suzhou Higher Vocational Technical School any two tenniselective classes for the study. Using literature, research questionnaire, mathematicalstatistics, logical analysis, software development method, and other methods of teachingexperiments. Tennis elective theoretically elaborated in the use of imagery training,describing the use of imagery training teaching tennis elective implementation process.Through32hours of teaching experiment, the results of the experimental and controlgroups were analyzed, suggesting the University Tennis Elective use of imagery trainingcan improve the quality of Physical Education teaching.
