China has fully stepped into an aging society for over three decades. This is the problem which can’t be reversed in quite a long time and we cannot reverse the trend of an aging society fundamentally. Therefore, only when we are on the premise of adapting to it, will we avoid the risk of an aging society."Active aging" as a response to the population aging policy framework put forward in the21st century, emphasizing that the elderly is the valuable asset to the development of society."Social Participation" is the core of the "Active aging", which is not only the needs of the elderly, but also the rights they should have. The research from a micro perspective to analyze the overall situation of social participation of the elderly in China is too numerous to enumerate. In this paper, the research has focused on psychological needs of aging learners when they were participating club. It has important practical significance to deeply understand that how aging learners participating in the club and what they need when they were participating.Initially, the research has focused on "what is the significance of club participation in the elderly?" The research used the Field Observation Method and the Interview Method for8aging learners, who have participated in the English Salon Club for more than2years. Some of them have expressed that they would continue to participate in the future. This research has lasted for6months, which collected fully detailed and first-hand materials. Grounded theory procedures are performed on these materials, which should be analyzed. Based on this, the subject of "Psychological Needs of Club participation of Aging Learner" has explicitly emerged.Through the research we found that aging learners have different psychological needs in different participating periods. It is a dynamic process. In this paper, following questions will be answered."Why did aging learners participate in the English Salon Club?"(See Chapter2)"How did they participate in the club?"(See Chapter3and4)"What kind of psychological needs did they produce after participating in the Club?"(See Chapter5) All of these have constituted the overall context of this paper.Finally, in order to clearly understand the changing needs of Club participation of aging learners, the writer has trying to construct a hypothesis of psychological needs structure. Meanwhile, some effective suggestions have also put forward to the club for its development in the future.
