Design And Implementation Of Smart-Home Gateway

Smart-Home is a smart control and management platform, which extend public network and applications to the family, then enable connection to a variety of information terminals by wired or wireless networks to provide an inheritance voice, data, multimedia, control and management, then to reach the final of sharing information within the home terminals or home terminals and external public networks. Smart-Home is a lot of equipment and technology integration, while the ultimate form of this smart function is intelligent gateway. Intelligent gateway application makes it easier to achieve the concept of Smart-Home. Intelligent Smart-Home Gateway is the key technology of Smart-Home system and plays a vital role.This thesis using residential broadband as application background, combined the Linux operating system, Internet technology, Qt/E technology together to establish a Qt/E development and an embedded Web server environment, and then successfully developed a set of home management, video surveillance and security management applications for the family, providing an intelligent platform for external network access to internal Web service. Based on ZigBee technology to build a smart home network, enables the gateway to self-organizing communicate with home appliances, and allowing users to achieve home intelligent control at any time, any place in the form of Web access, truly reflecting the concept of digital management life.A large number of experiments show that, using the existing network resources, the Smart-Home gateway, which this thesis proposed, achieved a safe,flexible, smart, fast and convenient way to control home appliances with all the basic functional requirements, including home monitoring, video surveillance, background management, etc.
