From my point of view, a large number of retireeschoosing to be rehired shows that older workers hope to raise retirement ages andincrease their working years; from the perspective of businesses, the flexibleretirement, by which they can reduce the management cost, is an advisable option asthey are confronted with rising labor costs owing to the increasingly stringentemployment regulations of our nation as well as the thriving market economy. At thenational level, while social pensions go up as a result of the increasing aging peopleand the drawbacks of the current retirement system make bad effects on labor markets,flexible retirement can precisely meet the interest of individuals, businesses, and thenation. However, ordinary people are still wondering what effect the flexibleretirement will bring about. Some people worry that the flexible retirement mayreduce personal pensions. Some concern that flexible retirement will increase thepressure on employment; enterprises, which seek profit maximization, are consideringwhether the flexible retirement is economic to them.Through the lens of pension calculation, this paper is to analyze the threefoldinfluence of flexible retirement: in the flexible retirement system, personal pensionscould be improved; enterprises can save their costs. Thus it is more convincing that the flexible retirement is favorable for both individuals and enterprises. At the sametime, this paper will do both quantitative and qualitative analysis to conclude that inaddition to the benefits for the three parts, the flexible retirement can also balance theinterests between them by enriching the lives of older persons, promoting flexibleemployment for businesses and improving labor markets.
