Into the twenty-first century, China’s economy was relatively fastpace. However, in this large environment, China has undergone a numberof food safety incidents.2008’s "Sanlu milk powder incident" led to theemergence of a food security crisis. Frequency of food safety incidentsrevealed China’s current food safety regulatory system vulnerabilities.Speeding up China’s food safety system with international standards hasbecome a priority. Shanghai, as an international metropolis, from2005onwards to the food safety control system.This paper reveals the current food safety supervision in China andShanghai, the status quo and monitoring the effectiveness of reformsarising from and inadequacies. The lack of analysis of these problems,learn from the advanced experience of foreign developed countries, Fromreality,Established for the current national food safety committee,Toreform the food safety regulatory system in the near future and long-termthinking.
