As an old maritime trade Province,Guangdong have numerous number ofOverseas Chinese. which has become one of the biggest characteristics andadvantages of it.With the vigorous development of China’s inbound tourism,Guangdong Province,as one of the famous hometown of overseas Chinese,attractingmore and more overseas Chinese tourists which have a common history and culture oreven kinship contact travel back to visit their hometowns.However,scholars both from domestic and abroad have done a lot in the TouristMarket research,but lack of special studies for the entry of the inbound Chinesetourists.So,this paper is aiming to solve this insufficient,With the help of relatedstatistics, this paper firstly analyze inbound Chinese tourists’ behavior in term ofsocial demographic characteristics, visitors spatial distribution and travelbehavior,then made conclusion from the systematic comparison of those with otherinbound tourists,to explore unique characteristics of the inbound Chinese tourists inmainland China.While taking advantage of the cluster analysis, the Chinese inboundtourist market was then departed to three segment part. On this basis, strategies todevelop the targeted market were made into four points,thus as to provide the basicdata and scientific research for Guangdong Province.Conclusions of this study include:First: For a relatively high proportion of retirees and family women tourists,combined with its purpose travel through cross analysis, put foreword the exploring ofthe elderly and women holiday shopping tourist market;Second: According to the spatial distribution of inbound Chinese tourists, besidemaintaining Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan tourists market, also need put efforts todevelop Europe, America and Oceania tourist market ment;Third: According to the purples of Chinese tourists is to visit relatives andfriends as well as leisure and shopping, developing resort and tourism-based festivalsand other special tourism products to meet with their special favors; Fourth: Based on the cluster analysis, the inbound Chinese tourist market wassegmented to three part:Proximity shopping leisure tourist market, medium-commercemarket and the remote-commerce sightseeing tourist market, then give out thecorresponding expansion strategy.Finally, this paper summarizes the previous content, indicating inadequateresearch, and future research were discussed.
