A Study On The Mode Of The Tourism Industrial Cluster In Shaoguan

As a common phenomenon in the development of contemporary manufacturing, industrialcluster has been adequately supported by theory and proved by practice. As for the studyconcerning if the industrial cluster can be applied to tourism and how the tourism industrialcluster operate specifically still in the primary stage. According to the characteristic of differentregion, the development pattern of tourism can be classified by the coordinate mechanism, thespatial layout, the relationship with national economy and the order of product development etc.As a tourism development theory, tourism industrial cluster is conducive to promote regionaltourism cooperation between enterprises and improve the competitiveness of regional tourism.This paper attempts to study the development mode of tourism from the perspective of industrialcluster, focusing to discuss the case of Shaoguan to explore the operating of industrial cluster.Firstly, this paper summary the study about industrial cluster and tourism industrial cluster,and then propose the theoretical model of tourism industrial cluster. Afterwards, analyze thecurrent situation and resources characteristic etc. of tourism development status of Shaoguan.Mathematical methods such as location entropy, grey correlation and spatial correlation are usedto make some demonstrations, aiming to find out the orientation and goal of cluster developmentaccording to the corresponding conclusion. Finally, it found that different cluster developmentstrategy should be implemented to different districts in Shaoguan because widely distinctionsexist in Shaoguan’s regional tourism status quo. As a whole, Shaoguan’s tourism is in theaccumulation stage, it is suitable for the government-leading development mode. But consideringsome tourist areas such as urban areas and Renhua County have basically realized cluster, amarket-leading development mode can be adopted as a pilot. According to the geographicallocation and resource distribution characteristics of Shaoguan, mesh type space layout can beused for the city-inside cluster, while chain type space layout can be used for the city-outsidecluster. The last but not the less, the researching of this article is hope to enrich the basic theoryof tourism industrial cluster and provide some references to the government when makingtourism industry development policies.
