| It is very significant to enhance the national comprehensive strength andinternational competitiveness by promoting the development of high-tech industryactively. Innovation is the internal driving force for the development of high-tech industry,and innovation performance is the most direct expression of innovation ability. Studyingon high-tech industries’ innovation performance can help us to understand thedevelopment of high-tech industry. Good innovation performance depends not only on theinnovation ability, but also largely depends on their regional environmental factors.Through the study of the impact of regional innovation environment to innovationperformance, we can identify the key environmental factors which can affect theinnovation performance, which can provide a reference for the development of relevantpolicies.Based on the above considerations and the theoretical analysis, the evaluation indexsystem of innovation performance of high-tech industry is constructed, and factor analysismethod is used to evaluate the high-tech industries’ innovation performance fromhorizontal and vertical angles. Through horizontal comparison, we can find out the levelof high-tech industries’ innovation performance and the differences or gaps among eachprovince; and know the changing trends with time by longitudinal comparison. Secondly,based on the innovation performance-regional innovation environment panel data, paneldata regression model is used to analysis the impact of regional innovation environmentto the innovation performance of high-tech industry systematically. And then,find outwhich factors have a positive effect on innovation performance, and which has a negativeeffect, based on which we can propose some improvement measures correctly.Some conclusions can be drawn from above analysis: From the lateral view, theinnovation performance of high-tech industry showing a decreasing trend ofeast-central-west, which means that eastern regions’ innovation performance is better thanthat in central region, and central regions’ innovation performance is better than that inwestern regions. The average level of eastern provinces’ innovation performance is higherthan that of the middle and western. From the vertical perspective, the high-techindustries’ innovation performance of most provinces, in addition to a few provincesshowed a decreasing trend, changed irregularly like waves with increasing trend.Regional innovation infrastructure environment, market environment, quality of workers, and financial environment of regional innovation environment have a significant positiveeffect on the innovation performance of high-tech industry, and the market environmentand quality of workers affect innovation performance obviously. Level ofentrepreneurship has a significant negative effect on the innovation performance ofhigh-tech industry. Regression results can be interpreted that the level of entrepreneurshipon behalf of the regional economic vitality, but also reflects the degree of competitionamong high-tech enterprises. The competition level of market has a significant negativeeffect on the innovation performance of high-tech industry. |
