The Rural Elderly Social Security Research

Along with the end of the sixth national population census, at the age of60years or older is account for13.26%in China’s total population, amongthem the age of65years is account for8.87%. We expected that from2011to2015, the national60years or elderly population will increase from the used178to221million. China’s aging process has been accelerating gradually. Bythe end of2011, China’s60years old or elderly population will be up to178million. Among them the rural elderly population reached105million. Therural elderly population scale is the1.69times of the city elderly population.The social security of the rural elderly people is critical.The first part of this essay discusses the source and research topicselection, the rural elderly social security academic significance, the presentsituation for the study of the social security for the elderly at home and abroad,the rural elderly social security theories and research method.The second part introduces the elderly at the village social securitysituation and problems. In the research methods take the survey of sampling,the issuance of questionnaires to collect data, from the table village of oldpeople are demography analysis, the village of social security at the oldcognitive status of factor analysis, the old people’s economic situation at thevillage, old people have the land at the village and the use of land condition,the old table village housing, community status, old people daily life care atthe village, old people health and at the village medical insurance, the spiritthe old table village health conditions to survey, the social security situation atthe old village, at the same time with8cases the interview method to collectdata. Through the interpersonal interaction at the elderly resident tounderstand the village to my thoughts and feelings of the old people at Xicun,the author knows the village of endowment way and social security level.Through the empirical research and analysis at the old people in Xicun, the author find some problems in village, such as social security in the elderlyfamily endowment, a new type of rural social endowment insurance, the newrural cooperative medical treatment, the rural elderly spiritual culture of lifeand the rural elderly people daily life and so on.The third part of the essay, the author analysis the influence of oldpeople at the village social security and the influence of the old social securityat the village level have the factors as follows: the village economic level ofXicun is low, the village in poverty, a new type of rural social endowmentinsurance safeguard level is somewhat low, the new rural cooperative medicalsubsidy level is low, the young people aged ideas appear weakening, anageing population and family theme-miniaturization, lack of the rural socialworkers.The fourth part according to local old social security problems, theauthor make some suggestions and strategies: develop the local economy atthe advantages of community endowment, improve the new rural endowmentinsurance coverage area and the security level, improve the governmentsubsidies at the incentive effect, increase the subsidies in the poor area,improve the new farming of organization of insurance business level, improvethe new rural cooperative medical security level, and improve with a seriousillness farmers to the medical treatment charge of subsidies, on the medicalinstitution for the strict supervision and management, strengthen theconstruction of rural hospitals, improve the new farming and fund of medicaltreatment of yield, and set up the rural social workers post, which will providethe better service to the rural elderly people and make the family pensioncontinue to play its role.The fifth part is conclusion. Through the system research and analysis atthe rural elderly social security problems exacted in our country, the authortry to seek the solutions to deal with these problems, and take somesuggestions to improve the rural elderly social security level in China.Develop the new rural construction of our country, promote the harmoniousdevelopment of the society.
