With the rapid development of global market economy, asking management for benefit becomes an important part of enterprise economic growth.Performance assessment, as modern enterprise management’s essential problem, is playing more and more important role in enterprises’long-term development. S corporation, a state-owned geological prospection enterprise, which has unsound assessment institution, unscientific examination index, internal performance evaluation existing in name only, and evaluation results with no effective incentives limited by organization structure and management model is severely affecting employee’s working enthusiasm.I did a study on performance assessment with its definition, meaning, method, and development at home and abroad from multiple angles with the help of Human Resource Literatures. Through the analysis of domestic and foreign enterprises’ common way and existence relating to the performance assessment system structure, I knew the conventional assessment method’s advantage and disadvantage in their enterprises’ management. Based on the summary of performance assessment’s worldwide development, I fully understood S corporation’s basics and its current performance assessment running state as well as its correlative factors. Via wide surveys and further studies into the problems existing in the corporation’s performance assessment, systematic analysis into the original performance evaluation systems drawbacks, I set up a specific evaluation indicator system, presented solutions.I analyzed the structure of this corporation’s performance assessment system evaluated the value of the corporation’s functions and employees,put forward implementation plan regarding the corporation’s performance assessment structure,set up a sound performance assessment management system which could motivate employees’ working enthusiasm effectively and make’hard work is rewarded’ and fair distribution come true and achieve the enterprise’s strategic targets.At the same time, hope all my studies could serve as a reference for the geological exploration enterprise to set up and innovate their performance assessment’s ways and means.
