After the beginning of reform and opening up, as the agricultural policy adjusts and industrialization drives, the rapid development of China’s agricultural economy, China has become one of the world’s major food trading countries. In the more than30years, the degrees of growth of China’s total food exports varies every year, China exported food worth a total of44.663billion dollars in2010. After China’s accession to the WTO in2001, facing a broader world market, at the same time, under the complex and ever-changing international economic situation in recent years, how to maintain and enhance the competitiveness of China’s food export trade, Which is urgently needed to be addressed at the present time.This article from an empirical perspective analyzes the competitive power of China’s food export trade. First, this article uses a study at home and abroad to define the range of food and multianalysis its status of the export trade, We can reach China’s food export problems at the present time and future growth trends. Secondly, collecting food export data in2002-2010and dividing it into three stages2002-2004、2005-2007'2008-2010to establish a constant market share model in order to analyze the source change of China’s food export competitiveness. Finally, We make use of the specific international competitiveness index system to clear the overall competitive power of China’s food export, which can predict the overall direction of the development of China’s food export trade.At the end of this article, to aim at the problems of competitive force of China’s food export trade, This article has put forward a targeted policy:Optimize the structure of food exports; Implement varied, comprehensive, focused on exploring the balance of market strategy, actively and effectively to expand the diversification of food trade; Increase the added value of export food products; Improve and perfect the food marketing system.
