In market-oriented economy, the competitiveness decides enterprise’s success or failure. Different industries have their own characteristics; the investigation for enterprise competitiveness is also different. This paper studies on the problem of food industry competitiveness evaluation, discuss the evaluation method and the index system, and take this to evaluate the listed companies’competitiveness in food industry. This study is with the important value both theoretical and practical application.The author takes our country food listed companies as the research object. This study on food enterprises competitiveness was took the domestic food industry status to competitive environment analysis as the background. Summarizes the domestic and international relevant theories and research situation, and then analyzed the characteristics and present situation of food enterprises. Based on competitiveness of food enterprises analysis elements of enterprises competitiveness and establish a food enterprises competitiveness evaluation index stem. The author established the comprehensive evaluation model by using the factor analysis method. Finally, to our country Shanghai A shares food enterprises28listed companies as the sample, carries on the analysis on competitiveness evaluation. It undertook an analysis to evaluating a result, summary, put forward the corresponding countermeasures.
