Performance appraisal is an important part of the performance management. Whether the performance appraisal is successful or not will directly affect the effectiveness of performance management. Complete performance management process is a cycle of management, covering performance target setting, performance coaching, performance evaluation and performance incentives and so on various aspects of content.In this article, based on previous research learning, results and theories, the author will take an insurance company as a case to make deep study and discussion on the establishment of performance appraisal system and implementation scheme. At the same time, it also put forward an improved plan for this company.This thesis mainly is divided into seven parts:the first part, the introduction part, mainly discusses the research background of thesis, purpose, significance, domestic and foreign research present situation analysis and dissertation research methods and framework structure, etc. The second part gives a general overview of the performance management system, including the meaning of performance management, understanding and objectives, and principles, etc. The third part is a review of the methods of performance evaluation and management. The fourth to the sixth part begins with the present situation of performance evaluation of A insurance company, then to fine the problems and put forward the optimized ideas and solution based on the problem at last.
