After the reform of the housing system, the real estate industry has developed rapidly. Field of product positioning critical to the success of real estate project development and the factors affecting the market, product positioning and very complex, as the country’s real estate policy, the level of economic development of the project area and the real estate market environment, developmentconditions of the business, consumer demand for the purchase. In this paper, the division of the market, identify target markets to arrive at the location of the development of real estate projects. Including a detailed analysis of the real estate projects in the external environment, the market trend, competitors, consumer to arrive at the location of the development of real estate projects, we developed a real estate project in Kunming as an example to explain the market positioning of the specific process.
