Assessment of performance of enterprises is considered as both an old and a new special term in the field of human resource. What is old means history of assessment of organization or employee’s performance since people or economiac organization came into being. What is new menans assessment of performance of enterprises in mordern economy just play a role in recent decades years.The scope of human resource, such as employment, management and assessment of workforce ect., has been practicing as well as probing and researching as common issue. Assessment of performance of enterprises, as a basic element reflecting the relationship between human and work, is penetrated in the history of people’s production. The different systems, mode and procedures represents the different people’s awareness, therefore it leads to the seek of better self-test and self-assessment. Owing to assessment of performance of enterprises restricting the mode of social talents circulation and reflecting the relationship among each classes, its reform play an important role on social and political economic reform.Assessment of performance of enterprises is a new issue in state-owned enterprise. In traditional state-owned enterprises, unified payment is all content of assessment. At that time, enterprises is state-owned and staff is one part of the enterprise, so personal achievements can not be paid any attettion. Since the reform policy was practised, the living condition of enterprises has been improved greatly and enterprises are paying more and more attettion on personal achievements in jobs. The mode of human resource is spreaded and popularized, then staff assessment is considered in enterprise management. How to improve the level of assessment management for better competitivity of the state-owned enterprises would be the biggest task and challenge. On the basis of the above, the writer probes the assessment of performance of enterprises from three point of view. On theory, the paper define the concept of the assessment of staff’s performance of enterprises, its criterion, its function and its principle. Then, the paper shows the system of staff’s performance of enterprises in an enterprise, espically introduces the KPI mechanism the core of the system. Finally, the writer offers the countermeasure, assume and suggestion for the errors of the assessment system.
