Research On The Sustainable Development Of The Agricultural Export In Qingdao

Since China has formally joined WTO, the export trade environment foragricultural products has made earth-shaking changes. There are increasingopportunities for exporting of domestic agricultural products which are facing withtougher challenges than ever before. Qingdao, as one of the main exporting cities foragricultural products in China, is welcoming various challenges to its agriculturalproducts from international trade. Firstly, the requirements for the importingagricultural products from the countries over the world are increasingly demanding.Secondly, there are always importing cases for agricultural products denied. Thirdly,the shock caused by economic events such as economic crisis for agricultural productsis great. Therefore, whether the present agricultural production mode, trading modeand policies can shows their comparative advantages of production and advantages ofmarketing competition in international market, can bypass the import restrictions andwhether the present mode for agricultural exports is sustainable are all become themost concerned problems for researching and marketing decision.This passage, guided by foreign trade economy theory and sustainable developmenttheory, makes a systemic research on the sustainable development of the agriculturalexports in Qingdao, and discusses the research achievements of agricultural producttrade in details. Based on the above all, the second chapter sets up the basictheoretical framework of sustainable development of agricultural exports and definesthe relevant basic concepts. The paper holds the view that the sustainabledevelopment of agricultural exports is the specific performance of the sustainabledevelopment on the agricultural exports, which is also the basis of increased exportsof agricultural products and the protection of agricultural ecological environment, andwhich is the developing strategies and mode of agricultural exports with the goal ofall-round social progress. Relying mainly on modern science and technology andadvanced production equipment, it chooses the reasonable growing pattern of agricultural products and utilized mode of agricultural resources, develop theagricultural exports trade scientifically and rationally, make the agricultural productexport get the ability of long-term sustainable development to protect ecologicalenvironment and to meet not only in the present but also the generation to come. Thecore of the sustainable development of agricultural exports is to expand agriculturalexports as well as to save resources and protect the environment; meanwhile, it’s to tryto develop the agricultural exports as well as realize the economy of resources andprotection of the environment especially the harmony of the coexistence of trade,economy, society and ecological. The third chapter reviews the history of thedevelopment of agricultural exports in Qingdao. It divides the history into threesections and describes the situation and features. The first section is from theestablishment of Qingdao to pre-1949of China; the second section is from thefoundation of PRC to pre-reform of China. The third section is from reform topre-joining WTO. Then it introduces the current situation and features since China hasjoined the WTO. The fourth chapter constructs the indexical evaluation system of thesustainable development of agricultural exports in Qingdao, and then it extracts threemain factors affecting the agricultural exports in Qingdao which are nonsocialsustainable development factor, trade factor and economic factor with the principalcomponent analysis. The fifth chapter uses accelerations composition method, one ofthe comprehensive evaluation methods to build sustainable developmentcomprehensive evaluation model. And combining the current situation and features ofagricultural exports in Qingdao, it evaluates the sustainable development level ofagricultural exports in Qingdao. Then it draws a conclusion that the synthesized scoreof the past decade is between0and0.5, and it also presents growth trend in recentyears. It states that the sustainable development level of agricultural exports inQingdao is relatively stable and the tendency is rising. The sixth chapter analyses theadvantages and disadvantages of the sustainable development of the agriculturalexports in Qingdao. The seventh chapter put forward the path selection of thesustainable development of agricultural exports in Qingdao based on the analysis ofthe above chapter. It suggests that enterprises of agricultural exports should choose the comparative advantaged products to be exported, cultivate core competency ofagricultural products enterprises, improve systematization level of agriculturalproduct export industry, complete agricultural exports marketing system, optimizeagricultural exports policies and maintain eco-environment construction to improvethe sustainable development level of agricultural exports in Qingdao.
