The studies take the inbound tourism market as an example, using shift—share model and BCG matrix model to analysis the major source country and tour destination, summing up the competition state of source country and tour destination, classifying the market, then put forward countermeasures for different type source country and tour destination.Comparing inbound tourism market of Guangxi with national inbound tourism market by shift-share model shows that the competition of Guangxi’s inbound tourism market is stronger than the national average, emerging some new source country markets. However, some change what happened in the tourist structure and the competition of Guangxi is declining. Other countries basically maintain the status.Analyzing the competition state of supply side and demand side of Guangxi inbound tourism market by BCG matrix model shows that, during2001to2011, cash cow market is decreasing; Child market is stable; Star market is missing; lean dog market is increasing. The competition landscape of tour destination has not changed. And summed up the three main characteristics of the market—the geographical distribution of the transfer characteristics; time contrast characteristics; the variation of geographic concentration characteristics.Classified the source market and tour destination by cluster analysis, combined with the result of shift-share analysis and BCG matrix analysis, conclude that, during2001to2011, the advantage of inbound tourism market is weakening. It mainly manifested in that three-step type transform into two-step type. The tour destination market has not changed much.the strategy of inbound tourism market of Guangxi should based on difference-making competition strategy、upgrade the industrial value-added and break the regional imbalances. Guangxi should take the initiative to enrich tourism products、to change cultural expressions、to strengthen regional cooperation and integration of industrial chain、to building urban tourism strategy group and to strengthen the government management level, on which to enhance the international influence of the Guangxi tourism market and the competitiveness.
