Study On The Developing Factors Of The Spinning Industry In Xinjiang

With the development of more than60years, the spinning industry in XinJiang has been one of themost important industries, but also one of the most potential industries. Among the materials of thespinning industry in XinJiang, cotton has the most obvious superiority. However,although the outputof cotton in XinJiang is the biggest one in China, the size of the XinJiang spinning industry is small.In2011the size of XinJiang’s spinning industry is the17th one in China. Therefore, studying thefactors of affecting the spinning industry’development in XinJiang has important significance for therapid development of the spinning industry in XinJiang, but also gives some enlightenments to othersmall industries.In the article, a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis will be used. And thearticle summarizes the present situation of XinJiang spinning industry, which is analyzed from thefollowing aspects: industry scale, products’output and quality, costs and economic benefits. Aboveall, the problem why the scale of the spinning industry in XinJiang is so small and developes soslowly will be put forward. According to the location choice theory, industrial competitive powertheory,industrial chain theory,industrial correlation theory, the article outlines the important factorsfor spinning industry’growing and developing.With the data from ‘the report of spinning industry in China’, China almanac, the cotton websiteand so on, the article establishes a multiple linear regression model to verify the influence power ofthese factors to the development of the spinning industry in XinJiang. The result is that the influencepower of industrial capital and association is obvious,but the influence power of the other factors isnot obvious.Above all,combining with the physical truth of the spinning industry in XinJiang, thearticle gives a empirical analysis for the factors in XinJiang to find out the advantageous factors andthe disadvantageous factors.Finally, based on the results of the preceding analysis of the industry status and the theoreticaland empirical analysis to these factors, the article puts forward some relevant proposals to acceleratethe development of the spinning industry in XinJiang.
