The Impact Of Reginal U-I Collaboration Innovation Efficiency On Industry Upgrading

University-Industry cooperation in various areas incent years has made remarkable achievements. In addition, the regional industrial structure has been also obviously improved under the guidance of relevant national polices. Well, what are the main factors that affect regional university-industry collaborative innovation efficiency? What’s the difference of the university-industry collaborative innovation efficiency in different regions? Is there any correlation between regional university-industry efficiency and regional industrial structure, the development of high-tech industries? If correlations exist, what’s the relationship between them? All these questions draw on more concern of researchers who study university-industry cooperation and regional industrial economy because of lack relevant studies.Based on the above questions, this study selected the economic and social development data from the year2006to2009of30Provinces except Tibet as the samples and used Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA for short), a systematic method calculating the relative efficiency of many units’ inputs and outputs,to calculate the regional university-industry collaborative innovation efficiency. Then, we made a correlation analysis between the efficiency and regional industrial structure, the development of high-tech industries and so on. In order to explore the correlation differences of30regions, we still divide30regions into3species and make the correlation analysis between the efficiency and regional economic development indicators respectively. In the end, this study puts forward research conclusions that regional University-Industry collaboration promotes industrial upgrade effectively and there are big differences in different regions. This study proposes policy suggestions that governments should respect the objective laws of regional University-Industry collaborations and industrial upgrade development when make policies on enhancing University-Industry collaboration efficiency and promoting regional industrial upgrade, which has a reference value for the theory and practice of university-industry cooperation and regional industrial upgrade.
