The energy problem has become a bottleneck to thedevelopment of economy and environment.Optimize the structure of energy industrybecomes the key of economic development.According to the theory of industrial structure optimization，the paper forecastthe present situation of energy supply and demand in Hunan Province them summingup some problem as the structure of energy supply and demand imbalance in HunanProvince and the insufficient rate of energy self-sufficiency and the distensible gapof energy and so on. This paper studies the relation among energy consumption, GDP,energy structure and industrial structure with co-integration theory and studies theGranger causality between the four time series of2000-2010in Hunan. The result ofstudy indicates that energy consumption and industrial structure are the Grangerreason and balanced relation exists for a long time between them. And GDP, energystructure are the Granger reason of energy consumption, the balanced relation existsfor a long time between energy consumption, GDP and energy structure.Last, using the ARIMA model to analyzing and forecasting the future of energyproduction and consumption in Hunan Province. We know that the distensible gap ofenergy becoming increasing and the problem of the disorderly structure of energysupplying and demanding in Hunan Province more and more Expanded. The resourceendowments of Hunan determined that the development capacity of traditional energysources in Hunan Province is Limited.So developing New Energy and Industrial is a fundamental method to Hunanenergy.
