A Study On Network Structure, Knowledge Governance Impact On Corporate Innovation Performance

Since twenty-first Century, with the advance of globalization, network economyhas been further development, the corporate innovation network is becoming morecompetitive, innovation environment where the corporate also change rapidly,corporate need to gain competitive advantage through technological innovation. Thecorporate boundaries become blurred increasingly, so that the range of the businessactivities become bigger and bigger, the difference between different nodes in thecorporate network, which leading to the different characteristics of the networkstructure, and interacting of corporate resources and external network organization,affects the corporate innovation behavior and effects. At the same time, as animportant link of the corporate internal management, knowledge has graduallybecome the key resource of corporate innovation strategy, knowledge governance isgood or bad will be to determine whether an corporate full play to the touchstone ofinnovation and efficiency. In this paper, from the perspective of innovation network,using the combination of theoretical and empirical research methods, to study therelationship between our corporate network structures, knowledge governance andinnovation performance under environment uncertainty.First of all, the theoretical part of the relevant background and concepts definedas the starting point, combined with the theory of corporate network, knowledgegovernance, environmental factors research paradigm; Secondly, according to theaforementioned theoretical analysis, make relevant assumptions and create the scale.Through the distribution of the questionnaire, we recovery a total of436effectivesamples, and descriptive statistics, the reliability and validity test were performed onthese samples. Finally, empirical analysis method and the conclusion of the study byPearson correlation analysis and multiple regression.The research empirical results show that:(1) in the control of environmentaluncertainty and knowledge management, network structure characteristics, includingthe strength of association, relationship quality, network location and size of thenetwork are significant effect on corporate innovative performance, and therelationship between the quality and the scale of the network to the enterpriseinnovation performance to be more significant.(2) knowledge governance plays animportant intermediary role in the influence of network structure on innovationperformance, which governance organizational structure, knowledge acquisition approaches and knowledge-sharing channels variable positive impact on the networkstructure on innovation performance, in contrast, interaction of network knowledge,intellectual property protection and the degree of knowledge application to a certainextent inhibited the effects of network structure on innovation performance.(3)environmental uncertainty as moderating variable, through empirical testing, wefound that environmental dynamism positive moderating effect on the networkstructure and innovation performance, the complexity of the environment andenvironmental threats on the network structure to innovation performance is negativeregulation. Finally, according to the conclusion of the study, from the perspective ofthe expansion of external relations, foster the knowledge governance, and ability tocope with an uncertain environment, as well as regulating the market mechanismproposed recommendations for management practices.
