Empirical Study Of Resource-based Industrial Cluster’s Influence On Different Scale Of Enterprise Performance Based On The Structural Equation Model

Nowadays, the literatures at home and abroad have intensive discussion aboutnon-resource-based industry cluster phenomenon, such as high-tech and modernservice industry. However, fewer concerns are about resource-based industryclusters, especially different types of cluster enterprise performance inresource-based industry clusters. Against the backdrop of growing resource shortageand global environment deteriorating, it is clearly necessary and timely to studyhow to use limited resources to improve enterprise performance in resource-basedindustries cluster. This paper has important and strategic significance in efficientutilization of resource, as well as the development of resource-based industrial andregional social economy.Firstly, this paper analyzed the foreign and domestic literature and summarizedthe inadequacies in the study of resource-based industry clusters. Then this paperemphasized on the characteristics of resource-based industry clusters andclassification of cluster enterprises. On the basis of brief analysis of internal andexternal factors on enterprise performance, this study expounds the factors thataffect the enterprise performance in the resource-based industry cluster. Meanwhile,this paper analyzed the directly and indirectly influences of various dimensions ofresource-based industry cluster on the cluster enterprises performances. Withrelevant research hypotheses, the index system and structural equation model wereestablished for resource-based industry clusters and cluster enterprise performance.Finally, this paper selected the coal industry clusters in Shanxi Province as thesample, to carry out empirical analysis about the influence of resource-basedindustry cluster on cluster enterprise performance with the structural equation model.The empirical study could be reasonably explained from both theoretical andpractical perspectives. Based on empirical results and the reality of Shanxi coalindustry clusters, the paper provided some recommendations to improve theenterprise performance in Shanxi coal industry cluster.
