Research On The Development Strategy Of Caofeidian Port Of Tangshan

The purpose of this study is to design the development strategy of Caofeidian portcompany by analyzing its market competition environment, competition situation and itsown characteristics. According to the characteristics of this paper, we used investigationand data analysis, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, theoretical analysis andempirical analysis methods.This paper elaborates the strategic management theories of market penetrationtheory, attacking theory, the SWOT analysis method, and three exponential smoothingmethods. These are the basic research theory and method for the study of the paper. Itundertook a comprehensive analysis of its strategic environment to get a clearerunderstanding of Caofeidian Port Company, with an overview of the external macroenvironment, the industry environment analysis and the internal conditions of enterprisesof Caofeidian port. Based on this, it elaborated the advantages, disadvantages,opportunities and threats of Caofeidian Port Company by using SWOT method, andforecasts the throughput data of iron-steel, coal, cement, container, building materials andother aspects in the year of2012, through analysis the relevant data from2007to2011with the aid of three exponential smoothing methods, then formulating the FunctionalOrientation and Target of Caofeidian Port in recent years and long terms and drawing upthe overall strategic objectives and planning. Finally, the implementation methods ofchanging the marketing concept, promoting application of port science and technology,expanding the open up, achieving mutual benefits and two-win, cultivating advancedenterprise culture, and taking the full advantage of the talent in the harbor development isput forward.
