In this paper, using the method of case study, in China’s retail industry’s leading enterprises,Wwangfujing department store group co., LTD.(hereinafter referred to as the Wangfujingdepartment store), on the basis of the development process of the analysis of Wangfujingdepartment store in the complex and changeable market environment, how to grasp the law ofindustry, adjust strategy, the enterprise to take off the process. Research its strategic evolution,summarized its always keep the leadership in the retail industry and the process of path, for ournational retail enterprises can draw lessons from the development of the road.Retail industry in our country at present situation investigation and a lot of basic situationanalysis of the data collection industry and the company itself, the integrated use of basic theory,methods and tools of strategic management, combine theory with practice, the combination ofquantitative and qualitative research methods, and discussing.First of all, three development stages, the objectivity of the development of Wangfujingdepartment store group, and analyzes the three stages of the decision-making process. Was ableto reveal the Wangfujing department store group in the domestic retail industry achievedoutstanding results, to achieve the goal of its industry leading competitive position, lies in itstwo key periods, overcome a variety of cognitive barriers and the lack of capital,, the businessmodel, which mainly discusses how it according to the environmental change and adjust thestrategic plan. Concluded that leading enterprise to achieve its long-term strategic positioning,must be ongoing innovation strategy, to cope with changes in the environment with active strain,until the stable status.
