It has been thirty years since Chinese government adopted the reform and opening-up policy, which has achieved great success in accelerating the development of the agriculture in our country as well as the rural economy. Our great accomplishment is drawing worldwide attention. However, plenty of problems and contradictions are exposed during this course. The slow increase of tamers’ incomes is becoming an outstanding problem, hindering the development of the rural even the whole nation’s economy. Meanwhile, under the trend of globalization, Chinese agriculture is integrating into the world economy, bringing about a rapid expansion of our agricultural trade. Especially after we joined the WTO, the agricultural import and export are shooting up, making China a strong trading country in agriculture. Sincelagricultural trade has a great impact on rural economy and incomes, the study has great theoretical and practical significance.This paper is divided into five parts. In chapter, problems and comprehensive review of the literature at home and abroad are presented, as well as directions and methodology of the research. In the second part, theories of agricultural trade and rural incomes are explained; especially with respect to how the agricultural trade exerts influence on the rural incomes, such as price effect, scale effect, technology effect and so on. Third, an econometric model is established to empirically analyze the relationship between the agricultural trade and rural incomes based on their current status and characteristics. In the fourth part, rules and regulations are put forwards and some available policies and suggestions are provided to guide our performance in the international trade.
