The Research Of Agricultural Trade Between China And Canada

In recent years, the political relations of China and Canada warm up, and theeconomic trade volume hit record highs. At first, this research reviewed both Canada’sand China’s agricultural production and trade situation. Second, through analyzing theagricultural products trade data; we have a preliminary study of the currentagricultural trade situation between China and Canada. Then, calculate the TradeCompetitiveness Index (TC) from2002to2011between China and Canada’sagricultural products. Trade Competitiveness analysis from the "Class" and "Chapter"on two levels, China and Canada are drawn respectively with strongest or strongercompetitive advantage of agricultural products. Further, compare Chinese andCanadian agricultural resources endowment and advantage of agricultural production,studies both the internal and external condition of the development of agriculturaltrade. The final conclusion is that the agricultural products trade between China andCanada is more complementary than competitive. According to this conclusion, toimprove the agricultural trade between China and Canada put forward thecorresponding Suggestions.
