In today’s society,science and technology are change rapidly, people’s pace of life are faster and faster, people who under the background lives under increasing stress. This reflects the progress of the society, at the same time, it also brings a lot of social problems. Work stress as a characteristic phenomenon in modern society, has become a part of people’s daily life. Hotel is a labor-intensive service industry, the nature of the work inevitably lead to employees have great work stress, and high turnover rate. Excessive work stress on employees’physical and mental health caused great harm, will also have a negative impact on the hotel.The article takes the hotel staff as the research object, combining theory and empirical, to discuss the hotel should be how to manage the work stress.First of all, the hotel staffs work stress has carried on the system analysis, introduces the present situation of hotel staff work stress, the causes of work stress, work stress response and its impact on the hotel. Through the analysis of the nature of the hospitality industry, Summarized at this stage the hotel staffs work stress is overweight, strong sense of work tiredness, the biggest stress from the work itself and view of the negative pressure. The reasons for the formation of the hotel staff work stress are high labor intensity, low wages, development space is small, poor working environment and affected by the social traditions and their own factors. Hotel staffs generally reflect on work stress including psychology, physiology and behavior three aspects, the reflection of the employees will have an impact on the hotel.Secondly, by taking Zhengzhou as an example to carried on the empirical research of hotel staff work stress. Through the system analysis of the hotel staff work stress and the interview results, design questionnaire, Using SPSS software for data analysis, The results found that the hotel staff work stress at high levels, different employees have significant different feelings in different work stress source, hotel staffs work stress and turnover intention was significantly correlation.In the end, the article based on the hotel, from the organizational level put forward to alleviate the work stress’s management recommendations, and introducing EAP idea and happy work management, hope to provide a beneficial reference for hotel managers.
