With the economic development and the promotion of scientific and technologicalinnovation, the atmosphere of entrepreneurial activity around the world is becoming more andmore intense; lots of entrepreneurs throw themselves into the lap of entrepreneurial activities.Entrepreneurship has become a hot research topic of economic management scholars at homeand abroad, and is considered to be an emerging research field. However, certain entrepreneurialbehaviors and entrepreneurial activities in both the appearance and development process requirea lot of resources; research on entrepreneurship resource is one of the important topics in thefield of entrepreneurship. Research on the relationship between entrepreneurial resources andentrepreneurial performance is an important part of entrepreneurial resources research. Howentrepreneurial resources affect entrepreneurial performance and what the impact onentrepreneurial performance is ultimately, draw increasing attention of scholars.Based on the entrepreneurial resources theory and social network theory, this studyconcludes four main factors in the process of entrepreneurial resources development, resourceidentification, resource acquisition, resource integration, resource utilization; and two controlfactors, network scale and network strength.This study selected small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as the research object,carrying out questionnaire surveys with the method of retrospective study, taking back250validquestionnaires in all. This study verified the model between entrepreneurial resourcesdevelopment and entrepreneurial performance with the method of structural equation modeling(SEM), the empirical results show that resource identification has a significant positive effect onthe viability of the enterprise, no significant effect on the growth potential of the enterprise; bothresource acquisition and resource utilization have a significant positive effect on the viability andgrowth potential of the enterprise, resource integration has no significant effect on the viabilityof the enterprise, but a significant positive effect on the growth potential.When constructing the theory model, some contextual factors are considered in thisresearch.According to the two control variables “network scale" and "network strength", the overall sample is divided into two groups, then this thesis adopts the multiple linear regressionmethod to illustrate the entrepreneurial resources development factors which have significanteffect on entrepreneurial performance and its size respectively, the conclusion shows that themore network scale, the more significant the entrepreneurial resources development factors haveon performance, and resources utilization should be more to be concerned; the more networkstrength, the more significant the entrepreneurial resources development factors have onperformance, resource acquisition and resource integration should be more to be concerned.
