Study On The Relationship Between Industrial Structure Adjustment And Employment Structure Change In Sichuan

Industrial structure adjustment determines change of employment structure, and change of employment structure produces certain effect on adjustment of industrial structure, and their influences are mutual. The rapid development of the socio-economic requires that the adjustment of industrial structure and employment structure is the same, when there is not harmonious, the adjustment of both will impact on the development of social economy. So it is necessary to maintain the coordinated development of industrial structure and employment structure.Si chuan is a big economic province, and is also a populous province, the development of industrial structure and employment structure is particularly important, the lagging development of any factor will have an effect on economy and employment of Sichuan province. Along with the rapid economic growth in Si chuan, adjustment of industrial structure is obvious, and employment structure has produced some changes, but change of employment structure still lag behind adjustment of industrial structure. Focus on this realism problem, this paper selected annual data of relevant economic variables from1978to2011, adopted the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis methods to investigate the change and the relationship between industry structure and employment structure. Of course, this paper also discovered the problems and contributed the solutions for the factors.This paper had six parts. The first part was an introduction, mainly introduced background and significance of the paper, and literatures of domestic and international, and paper’s contents and methods. The second part reviewed the concepts and theories of industrial structure and employment structure. The third part analyzed the movement and existent problems between industry structure and employment structure from1978to2011in Si chuan province. The fourth part was the keystone of this paper. It investigated the relationship between industrial structure and employment structure from five factors. They are Industrial structure, labor productivity, industrial expand elasticity, employment elasticity and cointegration relationship, the analysis results for:In Si chuan province, adjustment of industrial structure and change of employment structure has correlation, and their developments are not harmonious, change of employment structure obviously lagged behind industrial structure adjustment. The fifth part was transverse analysis between industrial structure and employment structure in Si chuan province, mainly compared industrial structure, employment elasticity with the national average and major economic cities. The sixth part gave some conclusions of this paper, and on the basis of the above sections, aiming at the existing problem of industrial structure and employment structure in Si chuan province, put forward some feasible Suggestions for the coordinated development of industry structure and employment structure.
