Research On The Industrial Structure Level Of Jiangsu Province

Confronting the reality of economic globalization, knowledge economy and international industry transfer, this paper analyzes the industrial structure level of Jiangsu Province. It is valuable for the relative government department to make policies for industrial structure regulation.Chapter 1 describes the background, purpose and the significance of this paper. Then it summarizes the inside and outside academic research results about the industrial structure upgrading. At the end of this chapter, this paper presents its research content and method in brief.This paper discriminates the meaning and content of industrial structure upgrading in chapter 2.Chapter 3 studies the status of industrial structure level of Jiangsu Province from the angle of its employment structure, output value structure and open level at first. In the aspects of employment structure and output value structure analysis, this paper combines static state analysis with dynamic mechanical analysis. While in the aspects of open level analysis, this paper mainly takes the status of FDI, foreign trade and the open policy of Jiangsu Province into account. At the end of this chapter, by using the Input-Output Table 1997 and 2002, this paper analyzes the demand factor of economic growth in Jiangsu Province.In order to measure the industrial structure level of economic system, Chapter 4 integrates the labor intensity, capital equipment ratio, relative labor productivity, extent of energy consumption, income elasticity of demand and rate of growth to evaluate the height of each industry. The height of each industry affects the industrial structure level of whole economic system directly. We assume the industrial structure intensity as the industrial structure level of economic system, and then establish a model to measure the industrial structure intensity of Jiangsu Province.At last, this paper analyzes the obstacles of industrial structure upgrading in Jiangsu Province, and puts forward some valuable strategies and advices.
