As technology and market environment changing, knowledge plays an important role in the competitive power of enterprises. Because of characteristics of knowledge as well as its fast update speed, companies are difficult to grasp all the knowledge they need to respond to the pressure brought by technological innovation and the market that is expected to change, thus the enterprises’ leading position in the market is affected. At that time, a company needs to build alliances with others to share the market risk and develop together, with business performance improved. In this process, the strength of cooperation relationship between enterprises and knowledge exchange in a wide range, as well as enterprises’ ability to understand the application of knowledge, play a key role in improving innovation performance. Enterprises can consider the above points to improve innovation performance, maintaining its core competitive power. We do surveys to the alliance enterprises, working on the cooperation relationship, levels of knowledge exchange and knowledge sharing, their understanding and using of knowledge, as well as embodied enterprise innovation. We cite biological symbiosis model as reference to measure this partnership. Different models lead to different time length of cooperation and the distribution of benefits, thus they have impacts on exchanging ideas between enterprises, the extent of knowledge sharing, the ability of obtaining and using knowledge, resulting in producing a different innovation performance. In social economy, alliance of enterprises has multi-level knowledge exchange, while it strengthens the sharing of knowledge and promotes the application capabilities, creating an environment conducive to innovative activities to improve the performance of enterprise innovation.Firstly, we measure the knowledge exchange and the degree of sharing between enterprises with knowledge sharing, and measure the strength of cooperation relationship with symbiosis model, while measure the performance of enterprises’ knowledge application ability with absorbing capacity. Those measurements result in the innovation performance. We summarize their related theories to derive a theoretical model. Secondly, we design the questionnaire on the basis of summarizing the related theoretical questions of measurement dimensions, obtain data from survey on the enterprises, then use AMOS-20.0and SPSS-17.0to analyze data, and verify previously proposed theoretical model. Finally, we consider the application of the above results in the development of enterprises, and research the inadequacy. Points of innovation in this work:1. Although there has been a lot of literature reporting on the relationship between knowledge sharing and innovation performance, there is little literature researching enterprises’ absorbing capacity and its relationship to the above two. We make it as mediate variable, thus enrich the theoretical knowledge in this aspect.2. Innovation on adjusting variables. We consider the cooperative relationship in enterprises alliance as symbiosis model, and make it an adjusting variable of the theoretical model, thinking different symbiosis models have different effects on theoretical model.3. Innovation on dimensions of measurement. Data obtained through questionnaires have verified the theoretical model and expanded the dimensions of innovation performance measurement.
