Development Status And Strategies Of Hunan Pork Industry

China is the largest pork producer and consumer country in the world. There is an important position Pork production occupied in agriculture production of China. Pork is not only the main source of meat food, and is an important source of income of farmers. Hunan province is one of the developed area of pork industry in the country, and the most important export pig breeding base. In recent years, the size and effectiveness of the pork industry has achieved rapid growth, it has made outstanding contributions for the development of animal husbandry and processing industry in Hunan Province. But there are also a variety of problems in breeding, pork processing, sales of pork, consumption of pork and pork quality and safety of pork industry in Hunan Province, the development of Hunan province pork industry structure optimization of agriculture and farmers income and to protect the quality and safety of pork products to enhance the competitiveness of domestic and international markets are of great theoretical and practical significance were researched in this paper.The background and significance of the topic, domestic and international research profiles, the theoretical foundation and analytical framework were analyzed firstly, and then, the basis of the development of pork industry in Hunan province was reviewed from the region, varieties, yield, quality, etc. The economic principles of animal husbandry, food safety principles of systems analysis were used, based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative literature analysis and policy text analysis and other methods. The problems and the actual situation of the pork industry had a profound analysis, and in close connection with the development of Hunan Province, from technological innovation, industrial upgrading, security mechanism, risk control and other aspects of the development of countermeasures in Hunan pork industry, Hunan pork industry development analysis framework was guidance builded. The conclusions of this paper had certain application value to improve market competitiveness, and stability of the national market supply and increase farmers’income.
